Takayasu Arteritis: Case Report and Literature Review
| Resumo: | Takayasu arteritis is a rare vasculitis that affects large vessels, such as the aorta, primarily in young women. This article presents the case of a 25-year-old patient with hypertension and abdominal pain, whose diagnosis was confirmed by computed tomography revealing aortic aneurysms. Treatment with corticosteroids was effective. The case emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and rigorous follow-up to prevent complications. The literature review highlights the role of imaging studies and a multidisciplinary approach in managing the disease. |
