Resumo:The excavation of subsoils in large and medium-sized cities with Infrastructure and buildings is becoming more frequent and there is a constant need to execute all of them in complete safety. Therefore, the diaphragm wall then appears as a technological form of quick, safe solution and easy application as a containment solution. Then, in this monograph a case study was carried out, having as reference object a work located in the City of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The main objective of this work is to analyze in a technical way the execution of this type of retaining wall, to compare its applicability with the cable-stayed curtain containment, also applied in the work and to present a design alternative that can serve as a second solution to what has already been executed. The analysis of the results will be made based on the data extracted from the executed project, on the information and surveys obtained with the contractor and outsourced companies, and on the dimensioning done for the juxtaposed stakes. n this way, when the objectives are reached, a comparison will be made of the methods in terms of safety, construction, containment stability, productivity and economic viability, thus indicating their advantages and disadvantages, demonstrating which of the methods is best applied to the same construction and what guarantees better efficiency, effectiveness and cost-benefit for the construction company.
