Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This research looks for contact points between the study of Transmedia Storytelling and Political Narratives as an answer to ongoing changes in the media, cultural and political landscapes. The objective of such an endeavor is to take the first steps towards a framework for transmedia analysis of political narratives, in an attempt to clarify some specific dynamics about their composition and consumer reception. After contrasting the elements of both narratives, this study proposes the concept of a “Political Narrative World” to describe a set of political narratives working as a transmedia world, and, therefore, subject to the same tools of analysis of storytelling and consumer communities used in the field of transmedia storytelling. A preliminary conceptual map is built describing the relations between the studied concepts, and ways to apply it to the analysis of Political Narratives are suggested. Finally, final considerations are made about the conclusions and future applications reached through these results.
