Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This study presents the current state of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in Brazil in the last 10 years, based on the publications related to theory found in electronic databases. The Theory of Multiple Intelligences was launched in 1983 and, unlike existing theories until then, it brings a qualitative perspective to study and evaluate intelligence, or rather, intelligences since it postulates that there is no intelligence, but different types of intelligences. After almost 40 years of its existence, we sought to know how this theory has been used in Brazil. To answer this question, the objective was to identify publications related to theory in Brazil and to describe the areas of knowledge, the types of research methods and the evolution of the number of publications. Thus, it was analyzed that the Theory of Multiple Intelligences has been more researched and used in the area of Human Sciences, with qualitative approach, descriptive objectives and in bibliographic procedures. It is clear that this theory is still little explored in Brazil. More studies, research, interventions related to this theory are needed, aiming at scientific advancement and above all improvements in the educational system based on the contributions that this theory can give us.
