Language and documentary language in the process of representing the knowledge of marginalized groups: theoretical reflections
| Resumo: | Introduction: The representation of knowledge is responsible for the interoperability between systems, users, domains, while returning to society an informational mesh legitimized and able, through information retrieval, to offer viability to the articulated information. Thus, this work aims to analyze the impact of language in the process of representation in terms of semantic, semiotic and discursive issues in order to understand the predisposition of the knowledge organization system, which is directed by terminological choices, to legitimize the representation, more specifically, to discuss about the institutionality of concepts and how the representativeness of marginalized groups understood in this work as blacks, women, LGBTIA+. To this end, we applied a qualitativeMethodology of a qualitative nature, descriptive, exploratory, with a theoretical, bibliographical and critical approach. Conclusion: Therefore, it is understood that social representation has great influence on the construction of the documentary language and that hegemonic parameters of a particular group are engendered, which may lead to under-representation of subjects, social and cultural groups that are not part of the symbolic system of dominant representation. |
