COVID-19, equal parenting and gender equality:: a debate in terms
| Resumo: | This article addresses the use of a shared custody model, setting boundaries with parental power in thepandemic scenario. To do this, a bibliographic review on the perspectives that demarcate nexus of legitimacy and justification for this legal phenomenon is carried out, shedding light on the guidelines provided by health agencies and the Brazilian National Council for the Rights of Children and Youth (Conselho Nacional dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente [CONANDA]). It is concluded that shared custody destabilizes gender asymmetry, developing plural forms of maternity and paternity. However, whether before the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) or in pandemic times, it does not represent an end to inequalities between women and men in what concerns parenting. |
