Acrylonitrile Production from Different Feedstocks: technological prospecting
| Resumo: | The great worldwide demand for acrylonitrile, combined with the increasing need for more sustainable and competitive processes has motivated the constant improvement in the process, as well as the search for more sustainable raw feedstocks for it. Thus, a scientifical and technological prospecting was carried out on this topic, to better understand the current technological scenario, especially with regarding to the use of the main raw materials mentioned in the literature. For that, the articles were researched on the Science Direct, and for the patents, the Espacenet was employed, using the indexing code C07B and keywords referring to acrylonitrile. It was found that most articles and patents are focused on improving catalysts and reaction conditions, with propane and propene as the most addressed raw materials. Few publications have addressed the production of acrylonitrile from renewable inputs, such as glycerol, indicating that this kind of process is still poorly consolidated. |
