Representação e recuperação da informação em bibliotecas universitárias: o tesauro como elo entre acervo, indexação e usuários da área de Física
| Resumo: | This study presents the representation and recovery of information in Physics based on the know-how which was acquired by working in an academic library, more specifically in the reference service and the technical processing section. In this respect, the indexing process, the kind of publications about Physics and the community of users of that academic library will be characterized in a specific topic. Bibliographic research, participant observation and content analysis were used as scientific methods to analyze some keywords which were collected from cataloging books, theses, dissertations and scientific papers. Finally, it will be presented a systematic structure as a suggestion to develop a thesaurus on Physics, from the main keywords used to classify publications according to their subjects and also through indexing process when those publications are kept in the library. |
