The Hospital and University Center of Coimbra and the movement free access
| Resumo: | The open access movement to scientific knowledge aims to regain possession of scientific communication, creating alternative free channels to share information and make science grow without barriers. One of the main ways or strategies to achieve open access is via repositories. In this context, the Institutional Repository of the Hospitais da Universidade de Coimbra (RIHUC) was created in 2008, currently repository of the Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra (CHUC). This repository is the official record of the scientific production of CHUC. We've come to the conclusion that open access in Portugal and in particular at CHUC is irreversible. |
