Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The genus Partamona contains 33 species and presents a wide geographic distribution, being found from Mexico to southern Brazil. Some species of this genus are morphologically similar, in some cases differentiated only by nest entrance architecture and nesting habits. The presence of B chromosomes in diverse species of this genus (P. helleri,P. rusticaandP. criptica and P. cupira) raises questions about the origin and evolution of these chromosomes in Partamona. To better understand these two aspects, we studied the occurrence of B chromosomes in 15 species of Partamona with the aim of associating the presence of these chromosomes with the phylogenetic hypothesis of these species, based on mitochondrial and nuclear genes. In this way, it was possible to infer the occurrence of interspecific crosses between P. helleri and P. chapadicolathat could berelated to the transmission of B chromosomes within this genus. Incongruencies between the phylogenetic hypotheses based on morphological characters, behavior and the molecular characters were verified, suggesting that bothP. seridoensisandP. chapadicolamay compose distinct groups of cryptic species. The presence of a copy of mitochondrial DNA (Cytochrome B) inserted in the nuclear genome (numt) was foundin P. ailyae, P. helleri, P. mulata, P. rustica, P. cupira andP. seridoensis. Finally, cytogenetic analyses of the species P. chapadicola, P. nhambiquara and P. rusticaindicateda new chromosomal class in these species, presenting three regions with distinct intensities of coloration based on C-banding.
