Metanálise dos processos analíticos presentes em dissertações de um programa de pós-graduação em Educação em Ciências e Matemática
| Resumo: | The article presents results of meta-analysis on methods of data analysis described by MSc students in their dissertations prepared under a Master Programme of Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education of South Brazil. 55 dissertations developed between 2011-2013 were analysed with the aim of answering the questions: what are the methods of analysis chosen by MSc students and which information arised on the methodological approach assumed by them? The study was conducted in two phases and used Textual Discursive Analysis (TDA) as a method of text analysis. It was employed a tool named Wordle to generate a “word cloud” where is possible to see the intensity given to the terms used in the texts. In this analysis emerged two categories: (1) highlight of the elements inherent in the TDA process; and (2) some slight reference to the principles of TDA. It was found that most of the research employed the TDA as a method of analysis (43 dissertations) and in the texts on methods of analysis the MSc students indicated important elements in the theoretical perspective of Textual Discourse Analysis mainly related to the process or operation. However, other equally important elements emerge, but with little intensity. Among them are those associated with the principles of the analysis process, such as self-organization, the emergence and the impregnation as well those associated with completion of the process including the production of metatext, writing and theorizing showing that they are poorly valorized and little understood on the TDA practice. |
