Avaliação online das Aprendizagens na Licenciatura em Gestão de Negócios na Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (Moçambique): do diagnóstico da situação à apresentação de uma proposta de intervenção
| Resumo: | Higher Education (HE) in Mozambique has not been able to answer several national problems: lack of vacancies over demand; need to train Graduates in a Country with a huge geographical dispersion; shortage of HE Institutions. Within this, governmental policy has been providing strong incentives to the development of Distance Education (DE), namely within online environments. Replying to these incentives, the University Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) created, in 2008, the first online DE Degree in Business Management (DBM). The challenges faced by the actors of this initiative, as well as the lack of research studies in the Country, justify the accomplishment of this study. The study aimed at: (a) understanding possible constraints rose by the implementation of the DBM concerning the learning assessment process and (b) developing a proposal for the promotion of learning assessment practices with a positive impact within them. In order to achieve aim (a), an exploratory study was developed by means of nine interviews and documental analysis, within the implementation of the Degree 1st edition (Class 0). A descriptive and a simple statistical analysis were applied to the collected data. In order to construct the proposal (aim (b)), both the achieved results and the literature review were taken into account, particularly the context in which the Degree is developed. The results highlight a marked discrepancy in e-assessment practices relatively to what is regulated for the Degree and to what is suggested by the literature. Therefore, these results sustained the need of developing an alternative proposal to e-assessment practices. |
