Avaliação das propriedades mecânicas de sistemas adesivos utilizados nas restaurações dentárias
| Resumo: | The aim of this study is to evaluate the adhesive strength of direct and semi-direct composite resin restorations to the dentin substrate when the same adhesive system is applied. The adhesive strength values will be obtained by microtensile testing (μTBS) and then used to perform a modeling of the adhesive interfaces created in both restoration strategies using ADINA software. For this study 16 intact human mandibular molars without microscopic evidence of lesions of are randomly assigned to the two test groups according to the defined restoration strategies. For both restorative strategies the same Clearfil SE Bond 2 adhesive system according to the 2-step Self-Etch technique and the same restorative material, the composite resin Ceram x Sepctra ST HV were used. After both restorative strategies were performed, the rods were obtained using a power saw and then tested for microtraction in a universal testing machine to evaluate the adhesive strength. For the statistical analysis of the results obtained, it was considered as null hypothesis(ho) that the values of adhesive strength and fracture types present the same distribution between the test groups. The statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS program at 95% confidence using the T-test. It was then obtained that for the direct restoration strategy an adhesive strength of 38.156±10.750MPa and a mainly cohesive type of rod fracture in the composite (69.5%). For the indirect restoration strategy an adhesive strength of 25.449±10.193 MPa was obtained and most of the rod fractures are of the adhesive type (92.3%). It was also found that the adhesive strength values and the types of rod fracture do not present the same distribution between both test groups, so the null hypothesis was rejected. Considering the limitations of this study and the results obtained, we can conclude that the Clearfil SE Bond 2 adhesive system is an adhesive that provides high adhesive strengths regardless of the restoration strategy |
