As such, it was decided to study the University of Coimbra as a vehicle that promotes entrepreneurship in its doctoral students. This analysis was based on the perception of these same students. For that, an exploratory model was constructed, composed of several hypotheses that contemplated variables that could or not have a positive impact on the development of entrepreneurial intentions in the doctoral students of the University of Coimbra. The obtained results validated some of the hypotheses proposed, revealing that the "Entrepreneurial Mission", the "Entrepreneurial Environment" and the "University Models" are positively correlated with the creation of entrepreneurial intentions by UC doctoral students. On the other hand, in spite of these results, these variables that present a positive correlation, present mean values that indicate a negative perception by the respondents, as well as most of the other variables studied, with the main highlight for the variable "Training in Entrepreneurship", thus demonstrating that there is still room for progression or improvement of communication within the UC ecosystem, according to the perception of university doctoral students. |
