The practical case of the National Portuguese Corps of Ccouts (CNE) in the communication of activities
| Resumo: | The CNE (National Corps of Scouts - Portuguese Catholic Scouting) is the largest youth association in the country, which is why the movement of its members in their respective activities (camps, cantonments, and hiking) and their safety are factors of concern. The use of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), with the platform called GEO SCOUTS, with tools from ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute), has made it possible to standardize and simplify the reporting of scouting activities at national and internal level (each nucleus, region of the Association, camps and scout centres, and activities outside the country). Likewise, it did the same externally (Municipal Councils, the Sub-regional Commands of Emergency and Civil Protection, Institute of Nature Conservation and Forests, Emergency Unit, Protection and Relief of the National Republican Guard, National Republican Guard, Public Security Police, Maritime Police, and Health Centre Groupings). It is a mapping and analysis tool that enables more thoughtful and faster decision-making, simplifying the whole process that current legislation and internal regulation requires.In this way all competent bodies know in advance where each activity will take place and what they will do, facilitating interaction and security between the various associations and institutions. |

O uso dos SIG (Sistemas de Informação Geográfica), com a plataforma denominada GEO SCOUTS, com as ferramentas da ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute), permitiu a uniformização e simplificação das comunicações de atividades escutistas a nível nacional, quer a nível interno (cada núcleo, região da Associação, campos e centros escutistas e atividades fora do país) como também a nível externo (Cmaras Municipais, os Comandos Sub-regionais de Emergência e Proteção Civil, Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e Florestas, Unidade de Emergência, Proteção e Socorro da Guarda Nacional Republicana, Guarda Nacional Republicana, Polícia de Segurança Pública, Polícia Marítima e Agrupamentos de Centros de Saúde), sendo uma ferramenta de mapeamento e análise que possibilita uma tomada de decisão mais ponderada e rápida, simplificando todo o processo que a atual legislação e regulamentação interna exige.Deste modo todas as entidades competentes sabem de antemão onde cada atividade se irá realizar e o que irão fazer, facilitando a interação e segurança entre as diversas associações e instituições. |
