La influencia de la tecnología hidráulica andalusí en la arquitectura palaciega renacentista
| Resumo: | This paper aims to analyse how Andalusian hydraulic technology was absorbed and applied in the palaces of the 16th century. First, the level of hydraulic specialisation reached in the residences of al-Andalus will be described. Then, it will be shown to what extent late medieval Iberian palaces absorbed this technology. Thirdly, it will be analysed how, throughout the 16th century, the methods of water supply and the forms and uses of water from al-Andalus continued to be applied in the Iberian residences. Finally, it will show how these Andalusian hydraulic elements were exported to Europe through the Italic and Iberian peninsulas, either through the descriptions of travellers and diplomats or through the occupation of Italian territories by the Hispanic kingdoms. |
