Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Ephemeral architecture, often associated with the nomadic way of life, lacks a clear definition in the present days. Once fundamental as nomadic beings, due to its ability to provide maximum flexibility and mobility, after the agrarian revolution lost its relevance when continuity, stability and permanence became (and still remain) the central characteristics of architecture. This dissertation sets out to dissect the concept of the ephemeral as applied to architecture, seeking to reinforce its validity in current times as an alternative way of building. This establishes a coherent basis for analyzing the transitoriness of festival stages, most of which are ephemeral structures. In this sense, Vida e espaço efémero focuses on demonstrating how ephemeral architecture can serve as a powerful tool for developing the architectural design of stages, integrating it with technological advances in sound and lighting equipment. By allowing the creation of transitory structures, this approach not only promotes innovation, but also contributes to reducing environmental impact, in line with the sustainability concerns of these events. The festival, product of the desire for joint human activity, reflects, at its highest exponent, the interdependence of ephemerality in architecture and social relations.
