Influência do ciclo menstrual na força e na atividade eletromiográfica do músculo quadríceps em mulheres fisicamente ativas
| Resumo: | The aim of this study was to identify possible changes generated by the phases of the menstrual cycle (CM) in the muscle strength and electromyographic activity (EMG) of the rectus femoris muscles (RF), vastus medialis ( (VM) and vastus lateralis (VL). Nine women participate healthy, physically active, which did not use contraceptives and possessed the CM regular. Testes of maximum voluntary contraction isometric (CVIMs) and EMG were made during the three phases of the cycle. It was observed a significant difference in the CISG of the muscles studied in the 3rd phase of the CM, in relation to the 1st and 2nd stage. The VL muscle was presented the highest activation when compared to RF and VM. In conclusion, the muscles evaluated in the luteal phase will show increased production of the strength when compared to the other phases and the VL muscle was more activated in all phases. |
