    Origem: uBibliorum
The purpose of this research is the adaptation of the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and its use on Accounting and Marketing college undergraduates. After the AMS had been adapted and changed into the Accounting and Marketing Academic Motivation Scale (AMAMS), it was validated in psychometric terms so that it could become a valid tool to be applied and used in studies involving this type of students. Using structural equation modelling, the AMAMS that resulted from adapting the original AMS model was tested. The new scale thus obtained has produced significant results that were very similar to those of the original scale, which means that it is valid and can be applied to other contexts. The validity and statistical reliability of the new scale made it possible to measure Accounting and Marketing college undergraduates’ motivation in a reliable and robust way. The present research is an important contribution for literature since it is the first time that AMS is adapted to and validated in students of these two areas of management, although it has already been applied to several educational contexts.

ABSTRACT The objective of this report was to reflect on the process of skills acquisition of the specialist nurse in rehabilitation nursing as well analyzing the effectiveness of home rehabilitation nursing care for an individual in a CVA situation, using the evidence-based practice steps and mobilizing the PI[C]O methodology. The analysis of selected articles for the systematic review of literature reveals that home nursing rehabilitation care promote independence gains in self care and in the ability of the family/caregiver to take care with positive implications on the functional and social recovery of the individual in a CVA situation. However, does not develop some aspects related to the effectiveness of home rehabilitation, such as its cost-effectiveness, customer/caregivers satisfaction, prevention of complications/rehospitalizations, among others, which must be analysed, in order to make home rehabilitation to an individual in a CVA situation an effective alternative to institutional rehabilitation units.institucionais.

Outros Autores: González-Fernández, Francisco Tomás; Oliveira, Rafael; Aquino, Rodrigo
In contemporary sport, recovery has emerged as a central component of the training and competitive process. It is no longer regarded simply as the time that follows exercise or competition, but rather as a complex and multidimensional process that supportsphysiological restoration, psychological readiness, adaptation to training, and the preservation of performance over time. As the physical and mental demands placed on athletes continue to increase, the capacity to recover effectively between sessions and competitions has become a matter of considerable importance for coaches, practitioners, and researchers alike. Growing interest in sleep, well-being, and recovery related interventions reflects a broader recognition that successful performance depends not only on the quality of training but also on the quality of restoration that follows it.

The adoption of Software Defined Networking (SDN) has encountered resistance mainly due to its disruptive nature for current deployed networks. In order to allow a smoother transition of SDN into production networks and take advantage of SDN’s characteristics, a mix of SDN with traditional networks, or Hybrid SDN Networks, can be deployed, paving the path to fully SDN-capable networks. The introduction of SDN allows for new and more efficient network optimization methods. This paper presents a Hybrid SDN Mobile Core Network for 4G and Non-Standalone 5G, which integrates support for Wi-Fi access, traffic offloading capabilities from 3GPP to non-3GPP Access and dynamic non-3GPP network slice instantiation, while still being flexible enough to be used in Standalone 5G. Results showed that the virtualization of the Mobile Core Network and the introduction of SDN in its architecture (making it a hybrid SDN solution) presented no significant impact in latency, attachment time and throughput in the mobile network when compared with a traditional deployment, coupling it with all the flexibility that SDN provides. Furthermore, benefits of traffic offloading for both the end user and the network operator are also shown.

Outros Autores: Dhillon, Gurpreet; Picoto, Winnie
The next generation in computing transcends the paradigm of traditional desktop and client-server architectures. IT products and solutions of the third platform, specifically in the scope of the Internet of Things (IoT) raise new security threats and vulnerabilities, suggesting that a set of competences is needed for any IoT product or service, regarding information security. The knowledge of that set of skills allows top managers to properly assess current organizational competences against future requirements, allowing proper business realignment. The paper at hand aims to contribute to the topic state of the art both at academic and practical level by developing a Competence-based Model for Securing the Internet of Things. The construction of the Model aims to define and develop organizational competence, specifically in the context of organizations that are IoT service providers. The model, to be developed and empirically tested using the Design Science Paradigm, will be based on an existing model that defines competence from a strategic management perspective using Resource Based View theory, strategic management theory and the concept of collective mind as heedful interrelating..

    Cepticismo
