The aim of this study was to analyse the effect of an intervention program, based on nonlinear pedagogy, on the decisionmaking and execution of different actions in futsal. The intervention program consisted of 12 training sessions. A quasiexperimental study was developed with eight male futsal players (M¼15.375, SD¼0.517). The GPET instrument was used to analyse the decision-making and execution of 3442 actions measured during competitive matches (pass, dribbling and shooting). Both variables were analysed with regard to the three tactical principles of attack: keep the ball possession, progression towards the goal and shooting at goal with the lowest level of opposition. With respect to the pass, results showed significantly higher values in decision-making and execution in the first and second principles, but not in the third one. In the dribbling action, results showed significantly higher values in decision-making in the second and third principle, but not in the first one. However, no significant differences were found in the shooting actions. These findings suggest that coaches should take into account in the task design, the tactical principles of play to develop tactical behaviour of youth futsal players.

Purpose: To systematically describe and analyze the tracking systems, the variables, and the statistical methods used to evaluate the players and teams’ tactical behavior in small-sided and conditioned games (SSCGs). Methods: A search was done in Web of Science, PubMed, Science Direct, and Scielo databases to identify manuscripts published between 2008 and 2019 that manipulated small-sided and conditioned games (SSCGs) and analyzed tactical behaviors of players and teams. Results: From 349 articles identified, 31 were selected for review. To collect positional data, the global positioning system (GPS), the local position measurement (LPM) system, and TACTO were identified as reliable tracking systems. Twenty-one positional variables were identified to evaluate tactical behaviors, grouped into five main categories: team balance, playing space, width and length of playing space, and interpersonal distance. Tactical behavior patterns were analyzed using approximate entropy, sample entropy, Shannon entropy, and patterns of coordination between players and teams were analyzed using relative phase and running correlation. Discussion: The tracking systems analyzed were reliable but revealed different advantages and disadvantages of their use. Authors should define the use of each tracking system based on their purpose and level of precision required for analysis. A great duplication was observed on the variables used with similar purposes of tactical analysis. The identification of the variables according to their purpose of analysis will allow a better understanding of their use in the future.

This study aimed to (i) explore the discriminatory power of the task-related variables and the context in establishing differences in the elite futsal leagues of Portugal, Spain, and Russia and (ii) understand how these variables vary according to the match outcome. Methodological issues concerning efficiency (goals and shots), offensive organisation (positional attack, counterattack, set pieces, or 5vs4+Goalkeeper), 1st goal scored during matches (home or away team), match type (balanced or unbalanced), and match outcome (winner, loser, or drawer) were discussed. Archival data were obtained from the 2017-2018 season of Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian professional futsal leagues for all play-off matches. Crosstabs analysis was conducted to establish the significance relationship between the elite futsal leagues and the situational variables. Afterward, discriminant analysis was used to identify the task-related variables that maximise mean differences between different league teams for defining offensive profile, and the variations found when the condition of the winner, loser, or drawer is taken into account. The results allowed to understand that the Portuguese and Russian teams used the positional attacks more, and less the counterattacks and set pieces than the Spaniards, who present a more balanced offensive profile. Overall, winners were better discriminated by goals scored, whereas 5vs4+Goalkeeper strategy discriminated loser teams. Coaches should be aware of these different offensive profiles in order to increase control over the match planning and decrease predictability against opposing teams.

Match Analysis of Soccer Refereeing Using Spatiotemporal Data: A Case Study

    Publicação
    por Gonçalves, Bruno

This case study explored how spatiotemporal data can develop key metrics to evaluate and understand elite soccer referees’ performance during one elite soccer match. The dynamic position of players from both teams, the ball and three elite referees allowed to capture the following performance metrics: (i) assistant referees: alignment with the second last defender; (ii) referee: referee diagonal movement—a position density was computed and a principal component analysis was carried to identify the directions of greatest variability; and (iii) referee: assessing the distance from the referee to the ball. All computations were processed when the ball was in-play and separated by 1st and 2nd halves. The first metric showed an alignment lower than 1 m between the assistant referee and the second last defender. The second metric showed that in the 1st half, the referee position ellipsis area was 548 m2, which increased during the 2nd half (671 m2). The third metric showed an increase in the distance from the referee to the ball and >80% of the distance between 5–30 m during the 2nd half. The findings may be used as a starting point to elaborate normative behavior models from the referee’s movement performance in soccer.

The aim of the present study was to identify the importance of the goalkeeper’s chance to shoot at goal as an outfield player in elite futsal according to critical and situational variables. The sample consisted of 11,446 actions corresponding to 1325 matches from the Spanish Futsal League in the seasons from 2010 to 2015. Binary logistic regression and classification tree multivariate models were used to identify the best predictor variables related to the chance of shooting as a criterion of success. Results from the binomial logistic regression emphasised the success relationships when the teams played at home, against an equally ranked opponent, during balanced matches, and had up to two fouls. When the teams were drawing or losing, the actions of goalkeeper as an outfield player were unsuccessful. The classification tree results identified a greater chance of shooting in balanced matches during the playoffs, and with no more than two fouls. Negative effects were observed during the regular phase and when used by the teams in the final moments of a match. The identified trends will allow futsal coaches to recognise the most suitable situations for achieving success when using an attack with the goalkeeper as an outfield player.

The aim of this study was to identify the importance and meaning of goals using the goalkeeper as an outfield player in elite futsal according to critical and situational variables. The sample consisted of 11,446 actions corresponding to 1,325 matches from the 1st division Spanish Futsal League during the seasons from 2010 to 2015. Multinomial logistic regression and classification tree multivariate models were used to identify the best predictor variables related to the likelihood of scoring goals, receiving goals, or no goals. Results from Multinomial logistic regression emphasised goals scored in balanced matches and playing with the goalkeeper as an outfield player before the last eight minutes. When the teams were drawing or losing, finished with goals received or without goals. The classification tree results identified a greater likelihood of scoring goals when the teams were winning, in balanced matches, and within the last eight minutes. Conversely, a greater likelihood of suffering goals was observed using the goalkeeper as an outfield player when the teams were losing, in unbalanced matches and in the last eight minutes. The identified trends will allow futsal coaches to recognise the most suitable situations for achieving efficacy when using the goalkeeper as an outfield player strategy.

In a context of political reforms, economic and financial crisis and criticism of the Public Administration, managers and civil servants are expected to respond to the demands of society with greater quality and efficiency. In the context of the Federal Institutions of Higher Education, greater efficiency will be noticed when its teaching, research and extension activities produce the maximum results using the minimum resources available. This research uses the DEA model, with the aid of the Multicri-teria Combinatorial for Scenarios Method for selection of variables, in order to obtain comparative efficiency between academic units of the UFG for the year 2017. As results, it was observed that the UFG operated with technical efficiency of 70.47%, but with an overall efficiency of only 54.84% and that among the 27 Academic Units analyzed, only two are efficient, three have productive inefficiency and the others have inefficiency pure and productive. It concludes that the adoption of the DEA technique in conjunction with other techniques for calculating performance and evaluating results emerges as important mechanisms for identifying failures or pos-sibilities for improvements in the internal dimensions of the institution.

Several authors have sought to understand the variables that shape health services in the SUS and its management, seeking to support the management with information that may contribute to the defragmentation of the system. In this sense the performance of health systems is of major importance for management of this sector. The evaluation of the performance of the health systems is of major importance for the management of the referred sector. With this purpose stands out the population based health surveys, which are being widely used in other countries, and in Brazil they have been gradually used by some government sectors, due to their legitimacy to assess the health status of the population and the health care service provided from the users’ point of view. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the performance of the health services in the municipalities of the northern part of the Integrated Region of Development of the Federal District and surrounding areas from the perspective of the residents. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive epidemiological study using a population-based household survey. An already validated questionnaire was applied, which was submitted to a digital format with the use of an electronic artifact Pocket Hp iPAQ116 The statistical analysis was performed using a SPSS software version 19.0, on which data were crossed and simple frequencies were performed with 95 % confidence interval. RESULTS: From 521 participants, 59.50 % are aged between 18 to 40, 53.93 % are female, being 54.70% of the majority of brown skin color . About the Basic Attention AB1 66.60 % of households were registered in units of the family health, and 33.39 % of residents reported not having health care support, 46.25% residents reported consultation with a physician, 67.63 % of those paid by SUS, also 86.27 % of 51 admissions were provided by SUS, and 82.36 % of the health service users seek predominantly for SUS , and 59.19 % not primarily sought the Primary Care. CONCLUSION: Were recorded a young adult population with a female majority was registered, The provision of health services, are recorded at CNES and enrolls 138 public health services or private contracted by SUS, without however posses or contract a high complexity hospital service, which is presented only in the municipality of Planaltina de Goiás. The gateway service recommended by the federal government to AB, is not perceived as such by the population.
