The term “medicinal marijuana” can be understood as a marketing strategy to reduce the risk perception of drug use.  The medicinal use of cannabinoids is a debate that has gained importance in this representation space and presents a scientific issue as a scenario to bring the exam. The point of cannabidiol is not new, and its use and efficacy have been controversial. The therapeutic potential has been used as a false argument for the legalization of the use and cultivation of marijuana, with all its compounds. Nowadays, there are no cannabinoids approved for psychiatric indications. The dissemination of scientific information to avoid misperceptions and achieve a clear differentiation among the use of Cannabis in some diseases, in the wellness industry, and the consequences of non-medical use of marijuana should be done. Public policies should be focused on raising awareness about the potentially harmful effects associated with the use of marijuana by the general population. Also, higher investments in scientific research to investigate health damages of the non-medical use of marijuana are needed, as well as a better definition of the health conditions where products derived from Cannabis can be employed as an effective treatment.

This article is a systematic bibliographic review carried out in the period from October 25 to November 4, 2021 through electronic search in the databases of Google Scholar, Science Direct and PUBMED-NCBI-NIH to obtain more recent data, the guiding question of the research was: What is the importance of cannabinoids for the treatment of dermatological physiopathology? The eligibility criteria were selected articles from the last three years concerning cannabis, its cannabinoids and the treatment of dermatological lesions. The descriptors used were: Cannabis, Skin diseases and Cannabinoids verified in Health Science Descriptors (Decs) and Medical Subjec the adings (Mesh). The cross was succeeded using the boolean operator AND: "Cannabis" AND "Skindiseases" AND "Cannabinoids". Nine articles were elected, both analyzed qualitatively, through methodological reading. Even though medicinal herb is known for its psychological use, recent studies show that cannabinoids (Cbs) are actively involved in peripheral systems such as the innate, adaptive immune response. The endocannabinoid system is responsible for regulating several aspects of skin homeostasis such as proliferation, release and differentiation of inflammatory mediators. Therefore, it was possible to observe through the research that Cannabis sativa and its system present in the organism, has large participations for the control of several dermatological and non-dermatological diseases, however, studies are still quite recent and scarce regarding the effect of the herb in the dermatological area, however, already has great advances on its effectiveness.

The therapeutic properties of Cannabis have been described since antiquity and are of great relevance for the Egyptian, Chinese, Indian, Arab and Latin people. Cannabis-based medicines show several therapeutic purposes, mainly to treat disorders as constipation, some types of pain, epilepsy, anxiety and among others. In addition, the genus Cannabis exhibits great clinical relevance due to its Central Nervous System activities attributed to some phytochemicals compounds, as cannabidiol and Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol. The interest in the pharmacological properties of Cannabis is growing and several new studies are being carried out to prove its pharmacotherapeutic use which are important to design of novel drugs with different routes of administration and for multiple pathologies resistant to the conventional treatments. In this context, there is a pressure on countries to review the laws that still limit the research development related to medicinal Cannabis purposes. Herein, our aim is to perform an overview about the plant, endocannabinoid system, Cannabis-based medicines and clinical uses, regulatory aspects of Cannabis sp and its chemical compounds of therapeutic interest.

The neurological, chronic and progressive disease known as Parkinson's Syndrome is associated with the constant loss of brain cells that produce the neurotransmitter dopamine, responsible for carrying information to the body. Pharmacotherapy of Parkinson's disease is aimed at controlling symptoms, not completely preventing disease progression; although there is no cure for this syndrome, several palliative treatment methods are available, among them, drug therapy has been shown to be effective. As a healthy and natural alternative, Cannabis sativa shows promising results, especially in cases of chronic pain. Cannabis is among the oldest plants cultivated by man, with archaeological and historical indications; and that the cultivation of the plant was also intended for the extraction of industrial products such as the fibers used in the ropes of boats. Currently, research indicates the therapeutic use of a small number of its active principles with promising results that are being scientifically tested and proven for the treatment of syndromes and/or diseases.
